Jersey was found in September 2005 in the ditch on the side of the road in Rocky Mountain House. The person that found her took her to the local pet store for them to find her owners or a new home.
The store owners could tell from the state Jersey was in she did not have owners. She was very under weight for a 4 month old puppy. I happened to stop in that store that day to visit with the owners and that is when I saw Jersey. It was love at 1st sight. As soon as I picked up that little pup and she wrapped her body around me I knew it was meant to be.
Jersey was my first rescue dog that came into my life. She taught me that rescue dogs save us as much as we save them. Over the years Jersey helped me welcome many rescue dogs into my home while we found new homes for them.
In 2014 Jersey got very sick and had to be put down. Shortly after we started Megan's Rescue Efforts to help as many homeless and neglected animals in memory of Jersey.
